Condolences on the demise of your team. I cannot figure out what the
hell
Keenan is doing either. Im still mystified over the Shanahan deal
myself.
Of all the players to dump ... he is the one guy who really can carry a
team
so I cannot forsee much success without him.
(uninformed whimpering snipped)
Joseph was one amazing goalie ..I should not say was that implies that
he is dead or unable to play anymore. The series versus the Leafs a
couple of
years ago ... Wow!! 1992, I think.

Brenda:
Quit judging the team (and its former goaltender) by their
performances one to three years ago.....hockey careers come and go in
that amount of time in the NHL. If you think Shanahan can carry a team
you are *sadly* mistaken, and since that spectacular run in the playoffs
in 1993 (not 92), Joseph has NOT been the same in goal. Both players
have questionable work et. |

Or, *might* we expect a squirt coach have the discipline to show just
a *little* self-restraint??? :^(

In a nutshell. NO
Anytime the coach is one of the players parents, expect to get hassled. It
is worse in squirts or as I like to call the coaches in minor hockey...
Mighty Mouths, as they think they are in control of their childs hockey
careers. It is why 4 year old kids are wearing $300 skates when their feet
will grow in two weeks. |
| Ladies and gentlemen, with the season winding down and the playoffs soon
to begin, its time once again for rec.sport.hockeys Goaltender Survey III.
The survey will run from April 1st through April 15th, with final tallies
being posted on rec.sport.hockey and on the Goaltender Home Page. Please
vote for your top ten goaltenders in each of three categories:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CURRENT GOALTENDERS: The top ten goaltenders at the present time, also known
as "Who would you choose to start in goal for a game today?"
Examples of top current goaltenders would be Roy, Hasek, Joseph, Potvin,
Richter, McLean, Vanbiesbrouck, Brodeur, Ranford, Belfour, Carey. |
| That the NCAA should have easily won. The CIAU is great hockey, but
its filled with players who aspire to goals other than hockey careers.
They are mostly CHL has-beens who couldnt make the grade at the pro
level and are looking to play some competitive hockey while earning
a degree toward a real job.
The top NCAA players ARE aspiring NHLers and hotter prospects. These guys
are recruited. |
